GMC Jam 32 Complete!


5am, I've done it! I've finally taken part in a full game jam. Up until today I've quit at the first few hours, or during the idea phase. I'm really glad I stuck to it until the end. I'm actually really excited about this project. I think overall it turned out really well. The game has some really bad bugs and is not what I would say "polished", but it meets the criteria for the jam (I think lol). I've not got as much sleep as my body needs, and I'm already paying for it, I got sick about 48hrs in. 

I'll leave this launch devlog with a few tips for those interested: 1. Engage the AI players to encourage a fight, they have limited pathfinding, so the game is too easy right now. 2. Focus on local growth to start, but again because of the AI limits, you can play a bit risky. I'm planning on building towards a multiplayer release, which means some serious gameplay differences than how the AI tends to react.

Let me know what you guys think of the game, any feedback is greatly appreciated. I'll be doing a postmortem in the next few days or so after I get some solid rest.
