Through The Forest
Through The Forest is a small adventure deep in the forest where we must hold back the overwhelming forces and return to the road once again. Manage the needs of everyone and get the supplies required to keep yourselves moving forward. If we can't get this vehicle back up and running, I don't think we'll survive the night!
Objective:
Your goal is to get the truck back up and running and get back on the road before you get overwhelmed by too many forest dwellers.
You should manage the needs of your characters (indicated via the bubbles). Dragging a character onto proper areas will satisfy their needs.
Send your runner out for supplies, but be sure to keep holding down the fort while you wait!
How to Play:
Mouse Click or Touch to select and drag units around on the screen.
Each unit will indicate what they need with the Bubble Prompt above their heads. If they don't have what they need, you'll have to start issuing some commands to make it happen!
- Send your runner out for supplies, healing them before sending them back out.
- Make sure to resupply your ammo when your units run out.
- Repair the barricades to prevent getting over run.
- Get that vehicle up and running so you can make your escape!

Awesome game, really well done, pixel graphics always look great. I enjoyed the management system moving them around to shoot the zombies and manage supplies. Unfortunately my game crashed before the ending so I'm not sure what the endings. Fun game overall.
Well done! I enjoyed playing. I like the visuals (very atmospheric), and the gunfire sounds blend in well with the music and are not overwhelming. I can definitely see how being overloaded by zombies could be an issue! I echo Svedek's comment in terms of understanding what I should do, but this is a great foundation.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it. It certainly has a unique atmosphere to it that I really enjoy.
Hello, the visuals are super neat and the gameplay is a really cool idea I haven't seen implemented this way. I liked the game, though I was running into issues of some things not being very transparent to the player. Its hard to tell why moving units isn't working and I can't tell if repairing the car is actually doing anything or not.
Those two things aside, it was super cool, looked great, worked well, and was unique!
Yea, if I had more time in the jam I would have added more of a ramp up and intro tutorial that introduces the concepts better. Sadly it didn't make the priority list and a few bugs took up a ton of my time!
I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay, I really like how it turned out as a concept. I had a great time working on this game jam!
